Dalia Garcia
International recording artist Dalia Garcia is an award winning singer-songwriter who has been performing since she was five. An article in The Tennessean said she "possesses the pipes, personality and the looks to be a major star." Dalia writes and sings in English and Spanish and tours with her husband Gary in the duo, Garcia and Scott. Dalia has toured the world and shared the stage with world-class performers such as Julio Iglesias, with whom she sang the duet "All of You" nightly. She has performed in clubs, coliseums and stadiums in Europe, Asia, Australia and all of the Americas. Noted venues she's performed in include: Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall and Wembley Stadium in England. On her own, Dalia toured Mexico to promote her album with Universal Mexico. She wrote six of the twelve songs for the album "Rezandole A Dios." She wrote the album's first single, "Dame Tu Corazon." Dalia has also performed for U-S troops overseas in Bosnia and Kosovo. She Does it All Dalia grew up in the military, and traveled the U.S. and Europe with her family. At the age of five, she performed her first show at the Army Veterans Hospital in South Carolina. Dalia is of Spanish/Puerto Rican descent. She spent most of her childhood in Madrid, Spain and her later years in Irmo, SC. Dalia began writing songs, modeling and acting while attending the University of South Carolina. She wrote her first Spanish adaptation for the song "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and sang it in the Miss South Carolina competition where she was crowned Miss South Carolina! Dalia wrote and recorded two songs for "Musica Caliente De Nashville. She also wrote, "Este Amor" which is featured on another compilation CD. Dalia has made quite a showing on mp3.com in Rock, Pop, Euro-pop and several Latin Charts. With over a half-million plays, she held the number one spot on several charts steadily for two years when MP3 dot com first began. Dalia's recent projects include: featured singer on Jack Fisher's CD, "Penguins on a Rock South", sang Cielito Lindo on "Out Under The Western Sky" authentic western music by Jim Hendricks. She also co-wrote 2 songs, including the title cut and first single on her sister Lilian Garcia's latest CD, "Quiero Vivir!" Dalia occasionally performs as a guest singer with Al DeLory's "Salsa en Nashville."" Al DeLory produced Glen Campbell for many years. He also produced "Burning Bridges" (the title song just happens to have been written by Gary Scott's uncle Walter). She has also sung with the Nashville Jazz Orchestra in 2007 and 2008. Dalia is now proud to be half of the acoustic power-duo "Garcia and Scott." Their self titled CD, Garcia and Scott, is a fusion of rock, pop, country and Latin music.
